The Deacons group at the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston proudly awards the following scholarships to graduating high school seniors each spring:
- Deacons Scholarship: Awarded to a graduating senior entering a two- or four-year college, vocational or trade school.
- Arnold W. Sedlak Scholarship: Awarded to a student pursuing Engineering at SUNY Buffalo.
- Franklyn M. Collins Scholarship: Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in the Sciences.

Lewiston Presbyterian Scholarships
The Board of Deacons of the First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston is seeking applicants for six (6) scholarships. These scholarships are available to students graduating from high school and entering a two- or four-year college, vocational, or trade school. Applications are available on our church’s website or through the Lewiston Porter guidance office and should be returned to the church office via email to FirstPresLewiston@gmailcom or U.S. mail to 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston, NY 14092.
To Apply:
- Complete an application form and attach the following items:
- A high school transcript
- Two recommendations from your school and/or employer
- A one-page essay describing any community and/or church involvement, extra-curricular activities, and goals following graduation
- If applying for the Arnold W. Sedlak scholarship, please provide proof of acceptance/enrollment in the SUNY Buffalo engineering program.
